Mental Health Counseling for Immigrant Families
Therapy for children of immigrant parents to heal their inner child wounds and break intergenerational patterns
Welcome, my name is Jeff.
If you’ve grown up in an immigrant home you might have felt the need to keep all your feelings to yourself. When you had worries or times where you felt extremely down, you believed that you couldn’t share about it with your family because you didn’t feel safe enough, are use to being dismissed, or you thought you were burdening your loved ones with your problems. Over time, that has left you feeling resentful, alone, pissed off, or like you have to pretend everything is “fine” even when it’s really not.
Even though you feel this anger towards your parents, you still have this desire and hope that your family would know you on a deeper level. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to sort through it by yourself.

Therapy for anxiety is validating from within what your projected fears and worries are. Counseling for anxiousness includes building resilience by rewriting the unhelpful stories your past experiences have written.
-
Therapy for men who grew up in immigrant homes includes granting yourself permission to feel and express every feeling in a productive manner. We are not repeating our families unhelpful actions, but we are creating space for ways that allows your vulnerability to bring others closer to you.
